Ash-ford University is a commercial university located in San Diego, California.At first there was no any  Ash-ford University,the Mount St. Clare Academy  a boarding  day school for girls  was established in the year 1893. Later on  the idea for this school came when Father James A. Murray called the Sisters of St. Francis to help him teach in Clinton, Iowa. The building for new Mount St. Clare school  was constructed  in the year 1910 and stays  in use till today.

The sisters saw the need of  higher education in Clinton County and the area surrounding it,  founded Mount St. Clare College in  the year 1918.In the year 1932 to 1954 ,this liberal arts institution was  confirmed  teacher education college .The University provides master's, associate's and  bachelor's,  degrees through campus and online in more than 50 degree programs  .Many student are  interested  in online courses,the University in Clinton, Iowa also have the capacity of nearly 1,000  students in  their campus area . 

 The University's headquarters in San Diego, California manages online courses where  many of students are listed . Ash-ford's traditional campus  building is situated  in Clinton, Iowa.The Highway 30 in north and  the Mississippi River  is  about a mile (1,600 m)  and about a half mile (800 m) from the 24-acre (9.7 ha) campus . The St. Clare Hall is the most notable building on campus that  has well served as the Mount St. Clare Academy, Convent,College and  Novitiate. In St. Clare Hall house   the lower floors contains administrative and support staff, whereas  the upper floors contain classrooms.

The  Educational Center have its own  Arena, the animation lab and the athletics department . The newly renovated  In Lad Science Building there is  chemistry, microbiology ,biology , biochemistry  and research  labs.A residence hall has been made  by  the university by purchasing  Best Western hotel for use recently  . This hall is the combination of  both Durham and Reg-is Halls  known as the   B-W conduct  in providing shelter for  the  students  of  campus. An article in a  Post criticized the buying of property  from a local country club and explained  how "a new, 500-seat football stadium bought even though no football team  decorates  the campus".

The University of Sydney

The University of Sydney or  Sydney University is a public university of  Sydney in  Australia.It was  founded in  the year 1850.It is the  first university of  Australia and is recognized  as one of it's most prestigious university, ranking  27th position in the world's most reputable university. In the year  2013, this university  ranked  in 37th position and  in World University Ranking  it stood in  the top 0.3%. The University of Sydney have been affiliated with Seven Nobel  laureates   as faculty  and graduates. According to the British Daily Telegraph Sydney University's campus  ranked in the top 10  most beautiful universities of the world. This University contents 16 schools and  faculties that provides  doctoral ,bachelor's and  master's degrees. In  the year 2011 it had  taught 16,627 graduate  and   32,393 undergraduate students.



The university's Student life can be focused through the main campus as students run  the University of Sydney Union having   three buildings –  Holmes Buildings,Went-worth and  Manning . These buildings occupies a large part  of the university's catering outlets, and gives space for recreational rooms,function centers  and bars. One of the most grand  event  organised by the Union is the Orientation program on the Front Lawns centering   stalls setups by societies  and  clubs.

The university is presently undertaking a large capital works program to  revitalizing the campus and giving more teaching , office and student space. This program will look the mixture of the  technical libraries   and  smaller science   into a bigger library, and the construction of a student services building and central administration   alongside  City Road.In late 2006 a new building for the School of Information Technologies  was opened  and has been positioned on the  adjacent  site   of  the Seymour Center. A pedestrian plaza has been made by  transforming the busy Eastern Avenue thoroughfare   and a new footbridge has been constructed over City Road. The University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge or simply "Cambridge" is a  university  of public research  in Cambridge, England. Cambridge, the 2nd oldest university in the world of English-speaking was founded in the year 1209 and the world's 4th oldest long lasting university.The University of Cambridge formed by the association of scholars leaving the University of Oxford after a  argument with townsfolk.The two "ancient universities" have many things in common  and are often jointly known as "Ox-bridge".

The University of Cambridge is  location at the center  of  the city of Cambridge, with the students  occupying  about  nearly 20% of a significant proportion of the town's population and steadily  misshape the age structure.Most of the older colleges are located nearby the river Cam and city center.The notable buildings in  the University of Cambridge  are King's College Chapel,the Crisps Building at St John's College  and James Stirling  designed building "history faculty". The brickwork of many  colleges is also notable.The brick walls of St John's College provide examples of English bond [43] and Queens' College contains "some of the earliest patterned brickwork in the country" .



The colleges are self-governing institutions having  their own property and endowments, founded as important  parts of the university.Most academics  and all students are connected to a college. Their importance lies in the undergraduate teaching,housing, social functions and welfare  they provide. All laboratories,faculties, research centers and departments are part  of the university, which handles awards degrees and  lectures, but undergraduates gets their supervisions—small-group teaching sessions, by only one student from the colleges. Each college have to appoint their own teaching staff and fellows, who are part of a university department. The colleges select which undergraduates to acknowledge to the university according  to their  university regulations.


The academic year is separated into  3 academic terms according to the Statutes of the University.Michaelmas term proceeds from October to December; Lent term proceeds from January to March; and Easter term proceeds  from April to June.

The University of Cambridge has teaching faculties  and research departments in many academic disciplines. All research and lectures are organized by University Departments. The colleges are in charge of arranging or giving  most guidance, funding  and student accommodation in most extracurricular activities.At the time of 1990's Cambridge  University added a considerable number of new specialist in laboratories of research  on many University sites.The University of Cambridge also has a research partnership with  the United States MIT Institute.

The University Of Oxford

The University of Oxford or simply Oxford  is known as the  university of  research  located in Oxford, England.No one knows the date of  it's foundation but there is  an evidence of teaching existed from  1096,making it the university of ancient time in the  world of English-speaking, and the world's 2nd oldest long lasting university.

The University does not have a main campus though it is a "city  university" ;instead departments ,colleges,  accommodation, and other facilities are  widely spaced  all over  the city center. The Science Area where  most science departments are situated, is the area that holds closest similarity  to a campus.  Radcliffe Observatory Quarter which is scattered over the ten-acre (4 hectare) in the northwest of the city is currently under development.

According to  most British universities, expected students should apply through the undergraduate  course at study application system; but expected applicants for the University of Oxford, together with those students for dentistry,medicine and University of Cambridge applicants  must  perceive 15 October earlier    deadline.

For  more personalized judgement of students that  might  apply for both Oxford and Cambridge in the same year is not allowed. Only exceptions  applicants those applying to read for a second undergraduate degree are permitted.

Most applicants choose to apply for the individual colleges, which work with each other to make sure that the best students achieves  a place somewhere at the University regardless of their college priority.Shortlisting  of the students is based on  the achieved and  exam results and in some subjects,candidate-submitted written work  or written admission tests . About 60% of applicants are shortlisted, although this differs by subject. 

If there is  large number of shortlisted applicants for a subject selects same college, then students who selected  that college may be reallocated randomly to  the under-subscribed colleges for that  subject. The colleges then invite shortlisted students  for interview, where they are facilitate with  food and accommodation for almost three days in December. Except for MIT, this University is attracted for more federal research giving  than any American university without a  school of medical.In the 2009–2010 school year, the university crossed $640 million in research fund (up to $590 million  from the previous year) and has received  more than 300 patents since  the year 2003.In the year  2011, the university has put 38,437 undergraduate in a record ,1,178 law students and  11,497 graduate. 

 It comprised 20.1% of the total student body and 9.1% of the undergraduate student body, students from all 50 states and more than 120 foreign countries out-of-state and international students and mostly  from  the Republic of Korea, followed by the  Taiwan, India,People's Republic of China and  Mexico.In the year 2010, the undergraduate student body was 51.3% female and 48.7% male.The  majors three largest undergraduate  in 2009 were Unspecified Business,Biological Sciences and Psychology, while the majors three largest graduate  were Pharmacy,Business Administration (MBA) and Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Effect Of Drug

As it has been said before,ten effects are mostly of psychological in nature.That does not mean,such youths have no other kinds of effects.We find social and mental effects too.Psychologically speaking,such youths experiences various mental states.

There are two types of effects:The short term effects:After taking the drug,the youth go through the state of lethargy.He does not like to work or to study.Mostly he is dizzying  and in the state of semi-consciousness.this states last for 2 to 3 hours.there is also the symptoms of withdrawal.when his friend comes to meet him,he shuts away from them.under the influences of  drug.

The long term effects:the long term effects are far in number then the short term effects.These effects totally change the personality of the youth.the youth who regularly consume drugs,become aggressive.They become irritable and lose temper at a small cause.they cannot decide which is the important matter and which is not.Losing temper unnecessarily is the characteristics of the drug taking personality.And again some become depressive.They lose interest of the outside world.After they became the victim of drug,one find lack of action and enthusiasm in them.

Mostly they sit idle in the corner of the room,almost non-receptive.Some of them became liable for a schizophrenic state,i.e.they may suffer a mild attack of the schizophrenic behavior.Then it becomes difficult to bring  them back to the normal life.The psychoanalysts have found that such youth suffer from claustrophobia,which means the fear of crowd.Thus, they start unconsciously fearing people.They know that taking drug is a crime and an anti-social activity.Thus,the sense of guilt gets deep down in their mind.Another abnormality associated with the kind of behavior is called the persecution mania which means the feeling in the mind that someone after them and following them wherever they go.The purpose being sending them to jail.In reality,this is not the case.This is one kind of delusion they are suffering from.

The climax of the horrible effect of the drug is that some youth start thinking of committing of suicide.They want to put an end to such an obnoxious life.Research work is still carried on to investigate various effect of drugs.But it is clear that effect are of a destructive type and they disintegrate the personality completely.

Drug Abuse has been a major problem to our society.Drug Abuse has been ruining the life of youths.Such  youth are at great loss ,mentally,socially and economically.These youth become addicted to drugs and so they need it almost everyday otherwise they will feel bizarre and would go through convulsion.So,they have to procure the drugs any how and for that they have to spent a large amount of money each day.

This type of youth experiences a huge psychological change.His mental attitude goes through a transformation.He became a totally different personality.His way of looking at the family,friends,opposite sex,profession takes a turn,which is not helpful but harmful to him.Almost all his mental process like thinking,feeling and willing are disturbed.He losses concentration and makes mistakes in taking decision.The drug addicted youths fall victims to two kinds of abnormalities.Firstly the neurosis,which is a mild type of abnormality and which requires sometimes hospitalization also.Thus,in comparison with the biological,social or economical loss is far greater.One wonders why in spite of warnings,youth take drugs,which are the force that compel them to this bad habit.There are many reasons for Drug Abuse.

Firstly,the environmental force are at work.Mostly,youths residing in hostels catch up this habit.When most of the members of hostel are taking drugs,naturally hr is lured to take them many a times he is pressed to take drugs of one kind or the other.Thus,the environment is the major factor.

Secondly,youths take drugs to break the boredom of life.They feel tired of the monotonous life.They want excitement.They want to experiment the strange and mysterious feelings.The drug provide them easy way to get some feelings.

Thirdly,these youths who are mainly medical and engineering students go through the state of anxiety.Their parent expect from them to pass the examination with high grades.Youths have doubts deep down in their minds, they would meet the expectation of the parents.They also feel the constant tension of situation,they turn to drugs and get the freedom from this tension,for a while.This,to see it psychologically,is the process of escapism at work.
